An announcement has been received from the Ogleby Master Naturalists. Attached is a schedule for all core classes for the coming year. They have also included some electives. Presently they are working on a variety of new electives that will be announced shortly, as well as some dates for group field work doing some surveying for citizen science projects on frogs, insects etc. They are also working to establish a joint day in a state park with master naturalists from other area chapters.
They are offering Master Naturalists the opportunity to re-take any of the classes offered that they have already attended free of charge! Just fill out the registration form, and return it to the zoo so they know you are coming! (Based on availability - if the class is filled, they will notify you.) Scholarships are available to those in financial need. Scholarship forms are available on the website at www.oglebay-resort.com.
They advise you to dress for the weather, as most classes will involve time outdoors in the field. In case of bad weather, please call 304-243-4068 after 8 am on the day of the class. The message will indicate if there is a cancellation or delay.
If you have any questions, please call Penny Miller at 304-243-4027 ( email@example.com), or Vickie Markey at 304-243-4068 (firstname.lastname@example.org).
