WV Division of Natural Resources and Canaan Valley Resort invite you to attend this spring workshop designed primarily for women (ages 18 and older) to become more competent in, more confident in and more aware of the outdoors. This workshop is designed to encourage women interested in learning outdoor skills to explore and ask questions about a variety of outdoor activities in a comfortable, non-threatening atmosphere.
Skills include hunting, shooting and fishing, plus much more. Workshop fee includes registration, instruction in all sessions, program materials, use of demonstration equipment, lodging, transportation to and from sessions, and some meals.
Looking over the list of sessions, some of the ones listed might be counted as MN electives. Check with Ellen before going to see if you can possibly earn credit for attending them. The weekend is sponsored by the WV Department of Natural Resources. Besides the hunting, fishing and archery being offered there is mushroom identification, a trip to Dolly Sods, nature photography, stream ecology, wilderness survival.
