The Monongahela Master Naturalist chapter has partnered with the Morgantown Learning Academy in Morgantown, WV. The organizations have combined to help students build their garden, improve outdoor learning spaces and nature trails, and teach students to protect and preserve their environment for the future. Ellen Hrabovsky, Coordinator of the Monongahela Chapter of the Master Naturalists, said that the group’s goal in partnering with MLA is to train young people about the outdoors. “At the very least, (students) can appreciate nature. At the most, we can end up with scientists who work on research projects, teach, and educate everybody about nature.”
