1. Macroinvertebrate Sorting - This consists of coming into the office to pick through samples of leaf litter and stream bed debris to find small aquatic insects that will be identified later. These small insects can tell us a lot about water quality. This activity can be done any time during office hours.
2. Citizen Scientist Data Entry - There are some water sampling data sheets that need to be entered into our online database. If you would be interested in coming into the office to input data for an hour or two, it can be done anytime during office hours.
If you are interested in either of these opportunities, please send me an email. Be sure to call the office phone (304-292-3970) before you come to the office to be sure someone will be there. There are times when all staff is out in the field or running errands.
