The Sierra Club will lead a trail cleanup at Coopers Rock State Forest on April 11, along a 1.25-mile loop.
Volunteers seeking community service hours are encouraged to participate.
Most of the work will involve clearing out and restoring drainage ditches and culverts clogged from the winter and general trail clearing. The work will be light, with occasional moderate intensity. Any work that requires power tools or heaving lifting will be deferred to the forest superintendent.
Participants should bring work gloves, water and a snack, and dress of the weather. Some tools will be provided.
