Volunteers Needed for Riparian Tree Planting Apr 6-9

What: Riparian Tree Planting
Where: Abes Run, Monongahela National Forest near Bartow, WV
When: Monday April 6th through Thursday April 9th, 2015

Trout Unlimited needs volunteers to help with a riparian tree restoration on Abes Run near Bartow, WV. Help is needed to plant 3000 trees along Abes Run to provide shade and reduce summertime water temperatures. The planting will take place April 6th through April 9th. Volunteers need to be prepared for a full day of working outside digging holes and planting trees ranging in size from red spruce plugs to 6ft ball stock. Lunch and equipment will be provided, please bring appropriate footwear for digging holes and being in a wet and muddy area.
