This is a reminder that we will have our monthly volunteer work day this Saturday, August 29, beginning at 9:00 a.m. and lasting until around noon. The main project will be invasive plant removal. George has identified several different species that need to be removed from a few different areas of the site. Please meet in the lower parking area at 9:00 and remember to sign in and out on the volunteer sign-in sheet. Wear comfortable clothing (you may want long sleeves and pants to avoid scratches in some areas) and appropriate footwear. You can also bring work gloves if you prefer, but they will not be necessary. Also a good idea to bring a water bottle to stay hydrated.
You don't need to RSVP, but George does appreciate knowing who and how many to expect ahead of time, so if you plan to attend, you can reach him at George@wvbg.org.
Also, we are now in full swing with our Fall Children's Festival planning. If you are interested in helping with this and are not already on my event list (if you are you have already gotten several emails from me), please contact me ASAP and we'll get you in the loop!
Thanks everyone and have a wonderful weekend,
